Hints on using vacation

1) Unsubscribe from any mailing/user lists

2) Run vacation to get the required ".forward" file. Protocol:

ceresio> vacation
This program can be used to answer your mail automatically
when you go away on vacation.
You have a message file in /home/baikal/users/se/fischlin/.vacation.msg.
Would you like to see it? n
Would you like to edit it? n
To enable the vacation feature a ".forward" file is created.
Would you like to enable the vacation feature? y
Vacation feature ENABLED. Please remember to turn it off when
you get back from vacation. Bon voyage.


3) Edit ".forward" file by hand from

\afischli, "|/usr/ucb/vacation afischli"

to

\afischli, "|/usr/ucb/vacation -a andreas.fischlin afischli"


4) Edit ".vacation.msg" to your liking

5) Reactivate vacation like this
======================

ceresio> vacation -I


Should now work, i.e. if you send yourself a test mail; i.e., it bounces back 
to you with the message as contained in file ".vacation.msg"


Later on, if you deactivate vacation, the ".forward" file will be deleted;
note, contrary to what the program prompt says, don't worry, the file
".vacation.msg" will not be removed.
